This is the second (out of 18) trailers for a new fantasy-story that I'm working on called "The Goddess' Chosen". The story is centered around 18 different characters (listed below) with different pasts who are somehow chosen by the mysterious Goddess to defend her honor and bring peace to the three nations; Valdon High (in the north), Jhepaliah (in the middle) and Devondale (in the south).

The trailers are designed so that the first half introduces one of the characters and then the second half is the trailer for the whole story (so the second half will be featured in all of these versions)

This trailer is centered around Ciarra, the daughter of a freedom fighter in Devondale. The freedom fighters are a group living in a small village called the Camp in the Blue Forest close to the northern border and used to be fighting for a more democratic way of living in Devondale. Nowadays they do not need to fight as the current ruler is a very democratic one, but the group and the descendants of previous freedom fighters still live in the Camp, just as they always have.
Ciarra's father, Marcus, is the group's current leader and has raised her on his own due to that her mother died when giving birth. She is very capable with various types of weapons though her preferred one is her bow. Her father is training her and when she walks up to collect her arrows she finds a coin on the ground, marked with a swallow. Her father says that it is a God's Coin and that she's meant for something extraordinary.
Shortly after that the alarm sounds and Marcus rushes off. A group of Westlings, a humanoid race native to Jhepaliah though believed to be extinct, has attacked the Camp. As Marcus saves a man he is shot by one of the Westlings and dies. Ciarra sees this from her hiding-place and is devastated.
After burying her father Ciarra suddenly becomes the new leader of the freedom fighters. Driven by the need to revenge her father she leads the group into the Blue Forest in search for the Westlings. One day she captures a man named Klaus. Klaus is kept prisoner in the new camp of the freedom fighters until he shows Ciarra a coin of his own. This leads Ciarra to reflect on what her father said about the God's Coin. If Klaus has one as well, what does that mean for the two of them? And are there more?
