They've fallen out of favor due to one flaw, but top-break revolvers are awesome. They were first created in the mid to late 1800s and had a massive speed advantage over a Colt single-action revolver. They Webley is a later example of a highly successful top-break design.
The Schofield is the best handgun in Red Dead Redemption 2, for good reason. Maybe not as classic and iconic as the Peacemaker, but quite sophisticated.
