#Plastic poses serious health risks, from its production, which poisons frontline communities, to its breakdown into ubiquitous microplastics that persist in the environment, infiltrating air, soil, water and our bodies. Since 1950, over 9 billion tonnes of these petrochemical products have been produced. With over 150 million tons of plastic debris in the oceans, its weight will soon be greater than all the fish in the sea if we don’t act to stop it.
John Hocevar from #Greenpeace will soon attend the negotiations in Ottawa for a binding Global Plastic Treaty. You can join the campaign by signing the letter to President Biden urging him to champion a strong treaty at
