Smoothly sailing on a foggy night
Dimly lit by cold torchlight
A long past beast will prowl once more
Drifting to a forgotten shore
The crew breaks out in ghostly tune
Singing 'neath the last full moon
Shouts and bellows, the chorus rings
The waves they crash, the war bells sing
With solemn mourning, and tattered sails,
These souls drift onward through gust and gale
And as night waxes, the vast fog grows
And the sea reclaims that which it owns.
Greetings friends!
I hope you like the poem and the piece. Both are originals of mine. This composition is subtitled 'Song of the Spectral Sailors' but it just felt like too much to put in the opening title. Also, to fit the ship theme there is a modified canon of sorts which was a super fun section to write.
