In 2003, India was chosen to host the 19th Commonwealth Games slated for 2010. Inflated contracts and crooked deals ballooned the budget for the Games from around 412 million to an eye-watering estimate of 6 billion dollars.

This is the story of how officials set up a maze of scams at one of the biggest sporting events in the world bringing down India’s reputation on an international stage.
