Yamaha Motor and Final Aim recently teamed up to create a unique electric vehicle (EV) concept to address Japan's aging agriculture industry and attract a younger generation of farmers. The resulting vehicle was designed to handle light farm work and operate efficiently in rural and mountainous areas. Thanks to advanced design tools like generative AI and Autodesk Fusion, the team was able to design and build a full scale prototype vehicle in just 2 months—a timeline unheard of in the automotive industry.

The team's design process was driven by generative AI, which played a significant role in ideating and optimizing the EV's structure and functionality. With this advanced technology, the team was able to generate thousands of design possibilities in minutes. Then, by utilizing Autodesk Fusion for 3D modeling, the team was able to refine numerous design possibilities to meet the functional requirements of the vehicle.
