Pete Parisi spent his career as a 3D artist in the video game industry. When Netflix shut down his studio, he turned the experiments he had been posting online into a product business. He designs modular 3D printer stands in Fusion, cuts them from Baltic birch plywood on a CNC, and ships them as kits. Because the design is parametric, one file resizes to fit any printer on the market.

Jonathan talks with Pete about pricing and shipping a physical product, why made to order only works while you are small, and more. They also get into where parametric models break and the envelope trick for keeping them stable.
