You can TECHNICALLY beat Metal Saga for PlayStation 2 within a few minutes of starting your game, and it's pretty funny.
After naming your character, the game opens with the protagonist having a conversation with his mom. She asks if you TRULY want to become a hunter, or if you'd rather become a mechanic and inherit the family business.
If you choose to become a mechanic, you'll see a short scene where the protagonist is - years later - working with his mother and has grown into the best mechanic around, while his father laments his decision to abandon the life of a hunter.
Then there's some epilogue text about how the protagonist's life was boring and lame, explaining how he never fought a giant flying manta ray, and never adopted a pet dog with an artillery cannon mounted on its back.
Then the credits roll, and the game shows your stats. Zero total battles! Congratulations, you technically beat Metal Saga! It's less of a Bad Ending and more of a Quick and Funny Ending. This is why Atlus is better than Square-Enix.
