Lost Battlefields w Tino Struckmann | THE FULL WALK-THROUGH OF MODLIN FORTS IV AND XVII @tinostruckmann | Uploaded 1 year ago | Updated 16 hours ago
When we set the backdrop being the greatest fortress Napoleons could imagine. than surround it with modern forts we have to go take a look. Some of the most amazing forts in history were constructed around Modlin near Warsaw, some of them still being constructed right up until mid 1915 when Ludendorff attacked Modlin during the the battle of Fortress Novogeorgievsk, or Fortress Modlin and Warsaw. Some of these were again fought over in 1920 and 1939 AND 1944/5.
I will take you through these two largest fortresses of this group, following up on the first episode about the battles and forts of Modlin, with a detailed walk-through of these latest and most modern forts of WW1, I was truly amazed when I saw what they had constructed and continued right up until days before the battle.
Please like and follow it helps and much more history is coming every week.
