I got this idea when, surprisingly many ex-military personnel from the base started to pop up in the comment section when the first eruptions started on the Reykjanes peninsula, a little over 10 miles from the base. I'm very grateful for all the kind wishes for a good outcome, and since many of these guests on the channel are not likely to visit Iceland again, I decided like to invite them to see their old workplace after we Icelanders took over most of the base in 2016. Most of the residential houses are still as they were after a 220V upgrade to meet our European standards, but local companies have taken over many of the industrial units that were left there, like companies in the tourism industry.
Update: The H-2 radar station on MT. Heiðarfjall on my Icelandic channel:

With many thanks for your kind remarks and good wishes during this awful chapter in my country's history, and I hope you enjoy the tour.
