In this video, I take a look at a rare old Nidac alarm system that many people probably never knew existed. Nidac is best known for access control systems such as the PAC 1 and PAC 2 door controllers, which were widely used for commercial door access and building security across Australia.
What many people don’t realise is that Nidac also experimented with alarm systems in the early days of electronic security. In this video, I open up the panel, explore the internal electronics, look at the design and components, and discuss how the system likely operated back when it was installed.
