In this episode of our series on the Big Bang, we dive into the evidence supporting cosmic expansion and uncover a troubling question: is expansion really as well-validated as we've been led to believe? Much of the evidence, it turns out, is interpreted through a framework that assumes expansion from the start. What happens when we remove that assumption?
We explore how changing the model of the universe can lead to different interpretations of the same data, and reveal the circular reasoning that traps cosmologists in their own theories. Using the concept of an expansion singularity, we show how cosmologists are stuck inside the event horizon of their assumptions, unable to see beyond the limits of their own model.
