Well, here it is. The final level in the Geometry Jump Journey collection and most likely the last 1.0 level uploaded on my account. With dark undertones and lots of strange designs, this level is my most complex one yet, and has quite the story to tell. I'm not even sure if I could explain it to a degree where it makes sense, but I will give it my best shot:
Unlike how the other GJJ levels feel like they belong in a series together, Living In The Static aims to feel like a mistake. A glitch in the collection. An error overriding a different level and instead becoming this final obstacle in your adventure. You fall out of the starting jumper map into a parallel sub-liminal static world, meant to be a representation of skullyhop's (me) ideas and unsettling thoughts telegraphed into a 2D planal dimension. Normally the ideas are regulated just fine and create interesting parallels to the main Geometry Dash levels, but this level has been corrupted by static. Static everywhere. A tear in the translation between thoughts and screen. The player is sent into this static world limbo now mixed in with the telegraphed thoughts, leading to dark amalgamations, deceptive misguidance, static eye viruses, and creatures such as the white-eyed shadow aiming to trap you within their realm. As the realm decays into nothing but white noise, will you as the player be able to navigate your way out before being claimed? Can you break free from this collection and escape back into the realm of the classic GD levels? Play the level and find out!
This level, while a sequel to my level "Fluorescent Forests", serves more as a final reckoning of both the series and my experience building said series. Its been a crazy fun ride making the GJJ collection for all of you and I think this is the best place to stop: a meta-creation discussing the deepness of being trapped in your own thoughts and creative standards. Due to being the 7th and final in the series, this level is a parody of Jumper, the final robtop level before the release of 1.1. There are also TONS of easter eggs, references, inspirations, and codes to discover during and between playthroughs, so see if you can spot them all!
Its highly recommended that you use Gray color 18 for player color 1 when playing this level to really experience the static/subliminal effects, but any color will still work fine! Special shout-outs to Arb, Blackbird552, NnolokK, and AmazingBuildMan for all the work that they spent playtesting to make sure this level plays the best it can without secret ways!
Through limitations I have found unlimited creativity~
I hope you enjoy Living In The Static!

Surprise! Because of the announcement of 2.2 soon, I decided to find the time to finish off 1 more project before the end of 2.1, this one being the prequel to Danse Macabre (my first rated level). This project was originally started 2 years ago (around the time of my level Omega Lily Pad) so the art featured throughout is reminiscent of that time period. Only recently did I find the will to get this completed. Over 70% of this level was built on bus rides to and from my college campus, and it took me about 3 months to complete once I found my inspiration again. This was a blast to make, so I hope that you have as much fun playing it as I did making it.
Lore of the Level:
The old haunted mansion on the hill is alit with bright lights and music fills the air. Youre beckoned inside and see a party of sorts, filled with what appears to be cute girls in Halloween costumes and friendly ghosts who love to dance. The atmosphere beckons you further, deeper, within the walls. But everything is not quite as it seems...
Unbeknown to you, everything was an elaborate trap. The cute girls and friendly monsters were nothing more than hoaxes: cardboard cutouts, animatronics, even marionettes. All designed to fool you and entice you deeper into your own doom by the spirits who lurk within the mansion walls. Do you dare delve deep enough to learn the mansions secrets? Are you brave enough to come out alive?
This level is designed to lead directly into my first featured level, Danse Macabre. In that level, the spirits have trapped you and begin the various torture methods to bring about your demise, which happens at the very end of the level. For those aware of my world building from my previous level (Inspired by Hume), I have tweaked it slightly and gotten the permission to add a level not by me to the order. For any who would like to try the full sequence, here is the levels in order of this haunted adventure:
Darkness Prevails Hallows Eve (unfinished; uploaded on my account) Spinne Schloss (by NnolokK) Ghosts N Ghourls (this level) Danse Macabre (In which you die and go to) The Cave You Fear (unfinished; uploaded on my account) The TOWER Halls of Hades (not started; will lead you back to the surface to) The Horror Facility.
From here the horror sequence ends and the factory sequence begins.
Due to how busy my schedule will become after this semester, I cannot say how much Ill actually play/create in 2.2. Ill instead be off student teaching, and then going into my first job as a music educator, so there wont be time for GD anymore. But I do want to say thank you for supporting me throughout my creating career! Special Thanks to NnolokK for making some paintings, collaborating with me on the song, and being my biggest supporter throughout my journey. I also want to thank Smeave, Nemsy, Playmaker77, BradybobGD, Reapertron2, and Minecraft666A for supporting me recently and overall being amazing friends in this game.
