Here we have the first Final Fantasy cover I've done in quite a long while! I chose this song because for this month's 8-Bit Battleground, we all did a battle theme from a FF game, and this one had been on my list for a while. It's probably my favourite battle theme from FF6 which is the only FF game I've really played extensively.

Right from the get go, I knew I wanted to record this using my 8 string (I have used it for every cover since getting it lol), and make some super dark and heavy riffs out of the original song. It didn't up being very long as far as my arrangements are concerned, but I think it's the perfect length for what I was going for. That crazy little fast run of notes right at the beginning, I didn't play quite like the original, because it's incredibly difficult, so I kind of made an offshoot of that part and played it by tapping. It uses the same basic set of notes, but they're just not played in the exact same order. I did the same thing for much later in the song on the lead synth.

Hope you enjoy this one! I'll be working on another Dwelling of Duels arrangement next, so you can expect another cover to go up here towards the beginning of May.
