On the evening of September 19 2018, investigators at Meramist slaughterhouse found 14 thoroughbreds from Hardwicke Stud among the many held over night in pens awaiting slaughter.
Many were mothers with their young.
These horses should have been protected by Racing NSW Local Rule 114. This is their story.
