The Peterson Academy, the anti-establishment educational brainchild of Jordan B. Peterson and/but operated by his daughter Mikhaila, has been 'open' for a year. It had a rocky beta launch and only 18 courses at the start. Is it faring any better now? (spoilers: not really)
In this video I show you around the site a little, dig into what courses are there, and reveal the perplexing change in scope in the interim. Truly perplexing, but not surprising it was a change I only noticed because of one my core critiques.
An interesting point of discussion that didn't make it into the video (I think) is the general demographics of the Peterson Academy faculty. Of the 61 courses at time of scripting, only two have a woman instructor. And weirdly, both of those are a co-instructor situation with a man. Also, the vast majority are white. Make of that what you will.
