**1. Set Up the Profile (Side View)**
* Press **`Numpad 3`** to enter Side View and turn on X-Ray mode (**`Alt + Z`**).
* Press **`Shift + A`** - **Mesh** - **Plane**.
* Press **`Tab`** to enter Edit Mode, select all vertices (**`A`**), and scale it down to the size of the trigger housing.
* Rotate it so the flat face points towards the side view (**`R` - `Y` - `90**`).

**2. Trace the Trigger Curve (Extrusion Method)**
* Switch to Vertex Select mode (**`1`**).
* Select the top-right single vertex (or edge) near the pivot point where the trigger enters the frame.
* Press **`E`** to extrude the vertex down along the curved arc of the trigger blade (about 4–5 steps to follow the hook shape).
* Select the inner vertices, press **`E`** to extrude backward to create the thickness of the blade, and hit **`F`** to fill the faces to make a flat 2D silhouette.

**3. Give It 3D Thickness**
* Select the entire flat 2D trigger mesh (**`A`**).
* Press **`E`** to extrude outward along the X-axis (give it a thin, realistic metal blade width).
* Press **`Ctrl + A`** in Object Mode and select **Apply All Transforms** (ensures bevels remain uniform).

**4. Soften the Edges (Bevel)**
* Back in Edit Mode (**`Tab`**), switch to Edge Select mode (**`2`**).
* Select the front and back outer curved edges of the trigger blade.
* Press **`Ctrl + B`** to bevel slightly, dragging the mouse and rolling the scroll wheel once or twice to give the front edge a comfortable, rounded contact surface.

**5. Model the Trigger Guard (Surrounding Loop)**
* Select the underside face of the top receiver bracket where the guard starts.
* Press **`E`** to extrude down, create a corner loop around the trigger, and extrude back up to connect with the front of the wooden grip.
* Alternatively, use **`Bridge Edge Loops`** between the receiver and grip to generate the rectangular guard bar.

**6. Final Shading**
* In Object Mode, right-click the trigger and choose **Shade Auto Smooth**.
* Place the trigger slightly forward inside the trigger guard, angled slightly back toward the wooden grip.
