The European Commission has received the recommendations of its Special Panel on Child Safety Online and will present a proposal after the summer.
The panel examined the impact of social media on children, including addictive design, age-appropriate access and online safety. The upcoming proposal will build on this evidence to help create a safer digital environment for young people.
