Jon Esca (aka Jon E5 FPV Drones) is an FPV gear reviewer. We talk about the ethics of reviewing gear, and his take can be summed up as follows: "I always treat each review like it's the last I'll do for that company... I don't want some kid or some guy with limited money to be disappointed because of my review."
Being a reviewer provides itself with its own set of unique ethical dilemmas. How do you remain true to yourself and your audience when what you're reviewing and how you're reviewing it will influence things like views. What's more, how do you handle things like affiliate links?
Each reviewer I've spoken with has there own variation on this topic, but Jon, not unlike the rest, are adamant that their reputation is more valuable than the money they might get from a bad review with a good affiliate link.
