If ever there were a fascist era it would certainly be the period between the two World Wars. During this time of economic and social upheaval fascism got some serious traction among Latin, catholic countries in particular. Fascism has been termed 'capitalism in decline' by Marxist analysts, yet fascism took root in some of the least industrialized nations of Europe, save for the relatively late-coming clerical fascists in Austria. This video examines some of the practical effects the fascist regime had on Italy and the spread of its influence to its neighbors and even further to the United States government.
