My set up is entirely different than 2 years ago. I have downsized drastically, got rid of my older recording gear. Since becoming a minimalist I wanted things simple and easy. In this video I show you what I currently use. I have just purchased the Zoom recording device and so far like it alot. The Godin guitar is a staple and love the neck and sound, especially running through a Fishman acoustic amp. I looked at the Fender acoustic amps, and the cube amps for street performance but found the Fishman with the best sound for me. I have other acoustic classical and steel string guitars but not as many as I used to. I kept the ones I liked when I moved out west. As far as recording equipmet, stay away from all Tascam products. I have owned three recording set ups by Tascam in my life time and all broke down and produced lesser quality. I wasted money. Also stay away from Carvin products. I once had a power amp that failed me and made noise, and I also had a Carvin acoustic amp the AD100D. It too eventually failed me. I admit it was a great sounding amp, but it starting clicking on and off while I was playing. I tried selling it and demonstrated it to a guy and mentioned the issue. He walked away from it. SO eventually I gave it away. $500 dollars flushed down the toilet.
The fishman's are rugged, small and only 20lbs. They must be tough because both damn boxes they came in were severely beaten up during shipment. What are the odds? It was as if someone did it on purpose. (ordered thru Amazon) .They were padded well and protected from rough handling. I plugged them in and they worked fine.
