Dr Who has fallen further than I could have possibly imagined... I’m definitely more of a new age ‘whovian’, as I’ve always been put off by the quality of the recording in those really early shows, but admittedly I’ve never really given them a go. I have however, watched all of the new who, from Eccleston, onwards. The best moment probably being watching the 50th anniversary in my local cinema, which had a Dalek and several Dr who lookalikes. It was a great event and unfortunately in hind sight, definitely the all-time high point of the series. Jodie's Doctor and Chris Chibnall's writing, combined with the BBC's tick box obsession properly character assassinated the doctor and for many (including myself), killed the show.
With RTD coming back with no less than David Tennant, dare we hope?
