Developed by Snowblind Studios and published by Interplay Entertainment, the game was originally released for the PlayStation 2 and original Xbox consoles all the way back in 2001. And as the name suggests, the setting (at least in the beginning) is the fantasy D&D city of Baldur’s Gate, part of the Forgotten Realms, which is one of the classic D&D Campaign settings.
