Starting Chain
Ch an even number (sample: 84 chains for ~48 in / 122 cm wide).
Row 1
Sc in 4th ch from hook, *ch 1, sk 1 ch, sc in next ch; rep from * across. Turn.
✨ Alternative Foundation: Work 1 row of sc across an odd-number chain (starting in the 2nd ch from hook), then begin Row 1 of the pattern (sc, ch 1, sk next st).
Row 2 (and all following rows)
Ch 2 (counts as sc + ch 1), *sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1; rep from * across, ending with sc in top of turning ch. Turn.
Rep Row 2 until blanket measures desired length.
Finishing Touches:
Work 1 round of sc around blanket, placing 1 sc in each st across, 1 sc per row along sides, and (sc, ch 2, sc) in each corner. Join with seamless finish or sl st to first sc. Weave in ends securely.
