DressageHub | The Dressage Judge Is Blind - Lameness Goes Unoticed By Judge In The Grand Prix Dressage Test @DressageHub | Uploaded April 2023 | Updated October 2024, 10 minutes ago.
If you have ever been quested if dressage judges are as blind as a football referee we finally have actual evidence that dressage judges can in fact be blind.
This horse started out looking good in the grand prix dressage test, then suddenly half way through the extended trot the horse takes several uneven steps. The rider (who is awesome) pulls up and excuses herself from the test.
The judge who should have had one of the best views of the sudden lameness had no idea what just happened and had to ask the rider why she retired. What that play out.
Last week we showed you a series of riders who continued to ride their horses through the grand prix while lame. It is refreshing to see a talented rider that is able to feel that her horse is taking uneven steps and retires immediately.
