In 2013, an anonymous user on 4Chan posted the coordinates to an abandoned warehouse in Elizabethton, Tennessee, and claimed that there would be a prize for anyone brave enough to check it out. The user, now known as 2q8E, then posted some disturbing pictures.
Users on 4Chan were absolutely terrified, but they still wanted to know what this mysterious prize was. It would take a few days, but one user named Alex decided to go out and investigate, updating 4Chan along the way.
Alex would venture deep into the warehouse and found everything from makeshift shelters to stashes of pills, to an abused possum, to even the prize itself.
Alex opened the prize and found a hard drive inside, so he grabbed it and kept moving. Although, after a few more updates, he heard someone else at the compound, so he decided to try to escape.
