Baseten turned Notion into its collective brain so a fast-scaling team could move without waiting on a handful of in-the-know experts. When their first AE, Katz, was spending 90% of his day answering teammate questions in Slack instead of talking to customers, Baseten built katzgpt—a Notion Custom Agent trained on his voice and wired into Salesforce, Gong, Slack, and Notion. It now lives in a Slack channel called Sales Funnel Friend, answering questions the way Katz would.

The impact: less time hunting for context, more time spent selling and building. Asking for help is now a five-to-ten-times-a-day habit, expertise scales without burning out the experts who hold it, and the institutional knowledge that used to walk out the door at 6pm is permanently part of how Baseten works.
