Shot97 | The Detroit Auto Show In Super 8 @Shot97 | Uploaded January 2015 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
A Super 8 movie film shot at the Detroit (Or North American International) Auto Show in January of 2005, at COBO Hall. Shot with Kodak Kodachrome 40 Speed Tungsten Super 8 Color Reversal Movie Film.
Kodachrome was the main film used for the super 8 medium for many years until Kodak discontinued the film in 2009. It offered (IMO) the best picture quality by far of any other Super 8 (or slide) film. It had very fine grain with excellent color reproduction and it will outlast any other color film (hundreds of years) due to the unique way it was processed. So good a song was written about it.
Shot on a Bell and Howell 670/XL camera. Transfered to the digital realm by projecting the original film onto a sheet of paper and recording with a digital camera. Not the preferred method, but it came out pretty good.
