Have you guys seen [un]Well on Netflix? The first episode on essential oils is a doozy! They only go after the multi-level marketing industry, but they also feature a couple named Dr. Z and Mama Z (Natural Living Family) who believe that a combination of essential oils, healthy living, and a big dose of Jesus can cure things like cancer! I actually discovered that the Z’s aren’t unusual - there’s a growing number of people getting “licenses” in biblical health (commonly referred to as pastoral science, pastoral medicine, and functional medicine). They go around calling themselves doctors, and those who are less aware of what these “doctors” actually are are falling victim to their alternative medical practices. This is so dangerous and needs to be stopped!
