Witness me entering the deepest (and also most beautiful) metro station in the world. The metro track lies 110 metres (360 ft) below surface, while the Arsenalna Station of Kiev Metro sits at 105.5 metres (346 ft) underground.

Apart from being the deepest in the world, the station is also arguably one of the most beautiful. While other metro systems serve only to be functional, Pyongyang Metro also aims to celebrate its achievements and the culture of its people. The platforms are massive, the murals and statues are all typically North Korean, and the old Soviet-era and Chinese trains really add to the atmosphere of this one-of-a-kind Metro station.

Video taken on the afternoon of 20th June, 2017, entering and descending into Puhung Station of the Pyongyang Metro. Please ignore the date on the film itself, as I unfortunately never got around to updating it beforehand.

Special thanks to Koryo Tours for making this all possible!
