▶ This is one I've been very excited to share! I envisioned the type of music that'd fit a battle in a kind of "soulslike" game, tho that's probably very obvious. Even beyond that it was just composed very smoothly and I actually wasn't using any direct references so I'm proud of the outcome, especially with some of the chord progressions. I tried to implement a lot of #4 notes over minor chords which gives off that diminished sinister feeling, slightly locrian in a way. And of course there's also the classical inspired harmony for that gothic fantasy feel. The big bursts and the end with the dissonant chords also one of my fav moments. Just so happy with how this one came out!
