🐚✨ Welcome to this week’s Kid’s Corner!
They may look like beautiful seashells, but don’t be fooled—inside some of these shells lives one of the ocean’s most dangerous creatures: the cone snail! 🐌⚡
🔹 With over 800 different species, cone shells come in stunning colors and patterns—making them treasures for shell collectors.
🔹 But here’s the wild part: cone snails have a built-in harpoon tooth that shoots venom powerful enough to paralyze fish, worms, and even other snails.
🔹 Some are so strong they can pierce a diver’s wetsuit! 😲
Thankfully, the empty shells are completely safe (and gorgeous to display). Cone shells are also considered “living fossils” because their fossil forms look just like the ones we see today—a reminder of God’s unchanging design.
And soon, the Wonders Center and Science Museum will feature an entire Sea Life Exhibit showcasing shells, fish, coral, seahorses, and so much more. 🌊🐠
