💰 What Did Coins in the Bible Really Look Like? Find Out Here! 💰

Let’s dive into a well-known story: The Widow’s Mite. While watching people give at the temple treasury, Jesus noticed a poor widow drop in just two tiny coins, known as mites. Even though her contribution was small—worth about $0.01 today—Jesus highlighted her tremendous generosity because she gave all she had, while the wealthy gave only a portion. 💖
But what exactly is a mite? It was likely a lepton, one of the smallest coins from ancient Israel!
