Japan has many natural disasters, with a major earthquake occurring every few decades.
The next one, said to be the most likely to occur, is the Nankai Trough earthquake, maybe the day that Japan ends.
The Nankai Trough earthquake zone is a plate boundary zone where the Pacific Plate and the Philippine Sea Plate subduct.
An earthquake of magnitude 9 is expected to reach from the central Kinki region to the southern Kyushu region, causing a tsunami of over 10 meters, collapsed buildings, fires, etc.
In the worst-case scenario, it is estimated that more than 320,000 people will die, and the total damage will exceed 220 trillion yen.
Considering that the number of people killed, injured, or missing in the terrible Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011 was 10,000, you can understand the horror of the situation.
