Deputy Mayor Shawn Lewis said scooters are "completely unregulated" and claimed cars don't veer onto sidewalks the way scooters do.

So I pulled the data. 22 fatal car collisions in 2023. Zero from scooters.

13 total complaints citywide.

90% of scooter riders weren't speeding during surveys.

And enforcement? Zero.

The problem isn't scooters. The problem is priorities.
