In this video, I share my experience working for two weeks as a runner on The Jeremy Kyle Show after university.
This isn’t a “drama” recap; it’s a reflective account of the behind-the-scenes systems I witnessed: how guests were managed before going on stage, how pressure was created, and why the show raises uncomfortable questions about class, vulnerability, and entertainment in the UK.
I also discuss the wider context of the show’s cancellation in 2019 following the death of Steve Dymond, and what we can learn as a culture from that era of television.
