We are experiencing a time of accelerated technological change, a new industrial revolution, led by giant corporations in the marketplace and by security states in terms of surveillance. How is digitalisation changing capitalism or entrenching it? Why is its infrastructure so colonial? How will the expansion of the digital frontier shape geopolitics and resource conflicts? How do we forge a different path that collectively resists this?

00:00 PART I: Introduction
00:13 Nick Couldry: Digital capitalisms and colonialism
14:38 Anita Gurumurthy: Digital capitalism and injustice
29:52 Miriyam Aouragh and Seda Gürses: Coloniality, decoloniality, and digital infrastructures.
48:22 Jack Qiu: Goodbye iSlave

1:07:49 PART II: Questions for the panelists
1:08:03 Question to Nick Couldry
How do you see the development of blockchain and DAO technologies? Is there a possibility to make resistance to this type of technology? How can we think about a non-monopolistic form of connection should be done?

1:11:52 Question to Anita Gurumurthy
Is it possible to think of a virtual world free of injustice? Because virtuality reflects what the world is but in a virtual paradigm. Can we free ourselves from injustice in the digital world while injustice remains in society?

1:17:03 Question to Miriyam Aouragh and Seda Gürses
What do you think about open-source software? Is it a form of resistance? Or just another instance of intellectual property capture by the capitalist system? What's your opinion on that?

1:26:50 Question to Jack Qiu
Do you think we only have slavery in hardware production or do we also have it in software production? And do you think there is cognitive slavery in the digital capitalism system?

1:37:17 PART III: Closing remarks
What type of resistance can we build from civil society, social movements, and states to resist this colonialism and this digital capitalism?
