The Cutting Edge
The scalpel blade.
Precisely aimed.
The steely intent.
As life’s blood
oozes.
All but spent.
The steady hand.
The sweated brow.
The calm façade.
As life’s blood
gushes.
A call to God.
A steady pulse.
His hand now guided.
A plan surrendered.
As life’s blood
beckons.
A life transcended.
