Flipclockfans | The Copal 225 Flip Clock @Flipclockfans | Uploaded April 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Welcome to the 27th short from Flip Clock Fans in our ongoing effort to catalog all the flip clocks in the Flip Clock Fans Collection. This time we are examining the Copal Model 225
Welcome Flip Clock Fans
The Copal 225 is one of the smaller Copal flip clocks and has a reputation of being a loud flipper, often found in a yellowed state and sometimes, the motors can become noisy, not related to needing to be oiled.
All these problems we have addressed in previous videos.
The Copal 225 clock only flip clock seems to have showed up around 1976 - when it can be seen in newspaper advertising.
Here you can see that this bank offered this clock as one of it's gifts for depositing 500 or more dollars.
Unfortunately, if I had money back then (when I was just a kid), I would have selected this "I dream of Jeannie" looking bottle. A very popular fantasy sitcom television series, in re-runs in the mid-1970s to 80s
All that aside, this unusually shaped flip clock remains a very collectible vintage flip clock and is a valued part of the Flip Clock Fans collection.
Thanks for taking the time
