This is the coolest entry-level Rolex watch. Last year saw Rolex make a return to purple for its Oyster Perpetual model with a rather lovely pastel lavender affair, but here we have this 2018 Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39mm model, with a deeper purple hue, like red grape or a majestically shimmery plum—and we definitely need more purple in the watch world in 2026. So, it's a typical Rolex, with a traditional and simple case shape and bracelet. It’s the familiar, faultless Oyster Perpetual design, but with this unusual dial colour, it’s something a little different and will make people look twice, not that it’s particularly hard to get people to notice a Rolex or anything. So, it features stick baton hours and chunky white quarter indexes, and the red marker dots really pop against the purple. And while it’s a more unorthodox, “take-notice” colour choice, it still manages to remain nice and subtle on the wrist. Pre-owned, this Oyster Perpetual will cost you around £7,000.
