The Church celebrates the feast of St. Clare of Assisi, a noblewoman who heard Francis of Assisi preach and fell in love with Jesus. She was deeply devoted to prayer and living a simple life of poverty and penance. Today, her legacy lives on through thousands of Poor Clare Sisters worldwide.
