The Cannon Firing Demonstration Was Loud & Awesome At Fort Mackinac!

We had a great time on our visit to Mackinac Island, our first time there! One of the many things we did there was to tour Fort Mackinac, a very interesting historical site. The Fort offers several different demonstrations throughout the day, and one of those is the Cannon Firing Demonstration. They fire a cannon that was used for ceremonies and special occasions when the Fort was still active. The two men in charge of the Cannon Firing did a great job explaining the history of the fort and the cannon, and the actual firing was load and impressive! if you're on the same side of the island as the fort, there's no way you won't hear the cannon when it goes off. If you're going to Mackinac Island, take the time to see Fort Mackinac and stay for the Cannon Firing Demonstration at the end of their day! Thanks for watching.
