Happy Poetry Month (April)! Let's celebrate with a tag challenge. Here's the premise:
Create a poem using book titles. It can be as short or long as you want, as challenging or as simple as you want to make it, can rhyme or not. BUT! There are rules.
RULES OF THE CHALLENGE:
1. You MUST use at least two book titles.
2. You can use the following prepositions and conjunctions to join titles: a, an, and, on, in, to, the, if, but, with, for, by, of, & or.
3. You MUST show the book either physically or digitally on the screen, so we can see that it's a real book title.
My poem, make of it what you will:
A Consolation
A memory of Babel
like the weather:
an atlas of clouds,
of air histories;
we have always lived
in a temple of impossible loves,
a labyrinth of spirits.
And outside, the imposters --
our souls at night
above the ground
like the nightingales.
We fall in blindness
but against the ending
of all things
the beloved world goes on.
If you haven't done this yet and would like to give it a try, please consider yourself tagged!
