October is truely my favorite time here in the south German countryside. I'm so inspired by this period of big change and transition. The foliage is getting more and more colored and I can spot something new and exciting every day. Join me collecting colored wild wine leaves, drawing at a lake, massaging a cow and baking apple pockets with fresh apples from my grandparents tree!

Welcome to my Bavarian cottage vlog. It is October now and nature has changed it's appearance so much since last time. Around our house here in the south German countryside, the signs that it's autumn can't be overlooked anymore. The ladybugs are preparing for their hibernation. On one of the last warm and sunny days, our whole house wall was full of them. They overwinter in my dorm room each year, which I find is very cute.
The wild wine at our fence and the river bridge is in it's most beautiful state now, as the leaves are fire red and orange. But it is a temporary art, as it only lasts for a few days when the leaves are colored bright like this - then they fall of completely in a very short amount of time.
This year I tried to conserve this beauty at least a little bit and collected some colorful leaves to press them. I want them to decorate the letters I write to my lovely Patreons and maybe to craft something else. Any ideas what else I could craft?
I mean I really love all seasons on the beautiful Bavarian countryside, but autumn and especially october is truely my favorite time, if I had to commit to one. And wall, I also had a little spa date with a cute cow that evening.
We still have lot's of apples from the harvest at my grandparents. So I baked little apple pockets with our apples. For the filling I used raisins, roasted almonds, coconut blossom sugar and the fresh apples of course. This recipe is very fast and easy, if you do it like me and buy ready-made frozen dough. But it's the most delicious thing, especially when you took part at the apple harvest. In my opinion it makes food so much more precious, if you saw the whole growing process and experienced the joyous harvest days.
