►► Alternate Title | How Britain Divided Black People in the UK
The divide between Black British people in the diaspora is one that many of us are aware of, but not many have really been able to make sense of. A lot of narratives around this come down to this idea of black-on-black division and disputes being inherent. That we have our own problems that we just so happened to bring to the UK.
I... just don't agree with this. And, there's a lot of evidence to suggest that the divide between Africans and people from the Caribbean is a construct of not only the British media, but our institutions. And, it's worth exploring how this divide was manufactured, so we can better understand how our media can influence us and ultimately lead us divided and confused.

New here?
I cover media and discussion topics from a black leftist lens framed around The Boondocks, black identity and a range of nerdy stuff I'm into. In my spare time, I supply food for a foodbank, infrequently attend an afro diaspora community garden and I'm developing a black indie video game called NIXIE.
If any of that sounds cool or interesting, keep in the loop. Or don't.
I probably don't care.
