Skyline Queenstown underwent a temporary closure starting from 23rd April 2023, in order start THE BIG CHANGEOVER phase of Project Skyline. This involved the removal of the existing Gondola Terminals and Towers to make way for the construction of a state-of-the-art Gondola system. The construction work included starting the construction of a new Base Terminal with the machine hall and back of house facilities being completed in this time. During the closure, a temporary ticketing building was established at the Base Terminal to accommodate visitors. The hard work and dedication paid off, as on 29th June 2023, Skyline Queenstown proudly reopened its doors, now equipped to offer visitors an elevated and unforgettable experience with the newly constructed top Gondola Terminal building providing breathtaking views and unforgettable memories.
