In this video I share what I think is probably the most helpful trick, or 'hack' that I've learned to speed up and simplify loading 35mm film on the development reels. This is also helpful to know if you're film swapping or sending your film over to someone else to shoot before developing.

How to get the film out of a rewound 35mm cassette:
1. Take a negative strip or new roll of film
2. Wet the emulsion (lighter) side of the old negative
3. Insert the wet negative or new leader into the rewound cassette
4. Slowly wind the rewound cassette's spool AWAY from the opening
5. Once the wet negative starts to get pulled inside STOP spinning
6. PULL out the wet negative
7. The film should come out of the rewound roll with the wet negative
(Sometimes this takes a few tries but works like a charm on most rolls)
