💥 Ingredients:
✅ 1 pound of Camellia Red Beans (because they're the best!
✅ 1 pound Conecuh Sausage
✅ 1 onion, chopped
✅ 1 bell pepper, chopped
✅ 2 stalks of celery, chopped
✅ 3 cloves of garlic, minced (or more if you're feeling frisky)
✅ 1 can of Hot Rotel (use Mild if you're not about the heat)
✅ 8 cups of water (start here, add more if needed)
✅ 3 heaping tablespoons of Better Than Bouillon
✅ 1 teaspoon salt
✅ 1 teaspoon black pepper
✅ 1 teaspoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt
✅ 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (Louisiana flavor, baby!)
✅ 1 bunch of fresh parsley, added in the last 10 minutes of cooking
✅ Green onions for garnish
🔥 How to Cook It:
1️⃣ Start by rinsing your red beans and soaking them overnight.
2️⃣ Saute sausage until brown then Sauté the onion, bell pepper, and celery in a bit of oil until soft. Add in the garlic and cook for another minute.
3️⃣ Toss in the red beans, Rotel, water, and all the seasonings. Let it simmer low and slow for about 2-4 hours, stirring occasionally and adding more water if needed.
4️⃣ In the last 10 minutes, stir in that fresh parsley for some extra flavor.
5️⃣ Serve it up hot over some steamy white rice, top with green onions, and enjoy a taste of New Orleans!
