Are you a people pleaser?

If you’re constantly trying to figure out what other people want from you—how you should act, what you should say, or who you should be so they’ll like you—you may actually be making it harder to ever feel truly loved or seen.

Because if someone likes the version of you that you created for them… how do you know they would love the real you?

And if they don’t like you? Now you’re even more stressed trying to figure out what you did wrong.

That’s an exhausting way to live.

So my advice?

Let your weird flag fly. 😂

I’ve taught my boys this since they were little, and my son Alex once said something I’ve never forgotten:

“Nobody’s as good at being you as yourself.”

Exactly.

When you allow yourself to be fully, authentically YOU, two wonderful things happen:

💚 You attract people who genuinely like who you are.

💚 You repel the people who don’t—and that’s a GOOD thing too.

Not everyone is going to like you. That’s impossible.

The goal isn’t to convince everyone to like you. The goal is to find YOUR people—the ones who enjoy your personality, understand your weirdness, laugh at your jokes, appreciate your energy, and love the person you actually are.

And when you stop constantly monitoring yourself and trying to perform for everyone around you, your body gets to relax too.

Less stress. More joy. More connection. And the incredible feeling of knowing the people around you actually see and love YOU.

So whether you’re quiet and reserved or loud enough to randomly sing and dance in public… 😆

Be yourself.

Nobody can do it better.
