Have you seen the news about @BryanJohnson announcing he has autoimmune gastritis?
I'm so sorry to hear this. Living with autoimmune disease is scary, and as you can see, it doesn't spare anyone, regardless of income, intelligence, or access to cutting-edge healthcare. I truly hope he's feeling well, and my thoughts are with him.
Bryan shared that he has had Hashimoto's disease (an autoimmune thyroid disease) for many years. This highlights something many people don't realize...
Treating hypothyroidism is **not** the same as treating Hashimoto's autoimmune disease.
Thyroid hormone replacement restores the thyroid hormone your body can no longer produce, but it doesn't directly address the autoimmune process itself. That's why someone can have well-managed thyroid hormone levels and still develop another autoimmune condition.
I've worked with many people whose first autoimmune diagnosis was Hashimoto's decades earlier. They often didn't realize it was part of the same autoimmune process that later showed up as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren's, inflammatory bowel disease, or another autoimmune condition.
Bryan has said he plans to invest in finding a cure for autoimmune disease because he believes one doesn't currently exist.
For the past 15 years, I've been sharing a different approach.
After reversing my own lupus more than 20 years ago, I dedicated my career to developing and teaching a nutrition protocol that has helped thousands of people improve their health from autoimmune disease. Rather than keeping it behind a paywall or patenting it, I've made the education available because I want as many people as possible to have access.
I don't call what I teach a cure. It isn't a medication or a medical treatment.
What I can say is that I've watched it help people with many different autoimmune diseases eliminate symptoms, normalize inflammatory markers and other laboratory abnormalities, and achieve remissions that medications alone had not been able to accomplish.
For me, it's been more than 20 years without a relapse.
For some of my earliest clients, it's been over 15 years of living symptom-free after saying goodbye to lupus, Sjögren's, scleroderma, and other autoimmune diseases, with medications discontinued under their physicians' supervision.
In medicine, we wouldn't call that a cure. But when someone has no symptoms, normal laboratory tests, no evidence of active disease, and years of getting their life back...it's a conversation worth having.
This month, for **Chronic Disease Awareness Month**, my online classes are **FREE**, so anyone, anywhere in the world can learn the Goodbye Lupus Protocol and decide whether it's something they'd like to explore alongside their medical care.
